A career with NHC often starts with a passion for holistic healthcare
Our people believe that healthcare is about more than just clinical health. This is a passion we continue to look for when we are growing our team. Our people strive to ensure patients and residents are aware that good health starts in the home, and they play an integral role in supporting health care on the APY Lands.
Health Worker and Nursing student, Lee Lawrie works within the Smoking Cessation program. This program helps people in the community to quit smoking and live healthier lives.
“Success is many things but in my role it’s people coming in and quitting smoking. The team provides patients with so much information around good habits and how those habits impact their family. Seeing people become healthy is a good feeling, absolutely. It’s a very rewarding position to be in,” Lee said.
The team is always proud to see people achieve goals and to improve their – and their family’s – health and wellbeing.
With a strong focus on a healthy diet and exercising, Nganampa Health also partners with Port Power Football Club, who are making visits to the APY Lands and conducting healthy lifestyle workshops with school children.
All of these efforts (and more) have come together with the support of employees who are passionate about healthcare. They have a unique understanding of the power of every small step and are integral to the role Nganampa Health plays in this region.
If this approach to primary health care is your passion too and you share our commitment and professionalism within this field, then why not consider joining NHC!
